Two Weeks in New Zealand – By the Numbers

The first in a series of posts on my trip to New Zealand.

Well, i finally did it. The two week grand tour around New Zealand, which is now my favorite country to visit in the world. I’ve put together a short teaser video at the bottom of this story to give you an idea of what’s to come in those stories.

Feel free to sign up on the right side of this page to receive updates when I post new material. I’m looking forward to sharing the stories and images from this trip. New Zealand is the most stunning, pristine place I’ve ever seen and I hope the photos, videos and words that I publish here do it justice. To give you an idea of what’s in store, below is a look at the trip By the Numbers.

I somehow convinced my college buddy Andre to travel halfway around the planet for this nonstop, activity-filled fortnight. He did all of the navigating and some of the driving, which was, ummm, adventurous to begin with given the driving on the left side of the road and all that. He also enjoyes good craft beer, so he was in his element in New Zealand. Thanks for coming along, Chups!

Please stay tuned and keep checking the site. There is plenty more to come including a snowy, alpine hike through an active volcano; canyoning in frigid water; mountain biking; a cruise around the spectacularly imposing Doubtful Sound; and a horseback ride on a friendly but mildly disobedient and always hungry Clydesdale named Ben. I wouldn’t joke about something like that. Merry Christmas!
